Al-Baqara 2:52

ثُمَّ عَفَوْنَا عَنكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ٥٢

Then We forgave you after that so perhaps you would be grateful.
